Blumoo Universal Remote Control App Reviews

Tried to use this app, and it crashed and crashed before it even loaded. I tried it again, and it crashed again. Didnt even completely load. Decided to keep trying and trying. Wasted maybe 20 minutes of my life in which I will never get back. Instead of using this dumb thing. Use your remote control that comes with your tv, or other piece of technology. You can also go and buy one for around $15. This app, along with any other remote control app sucks. Dont waste your time.

Most awesomest app ever!

If you want to use this you will need to buy a IR Gateway. Otherwise this app is just a waste of memory.

I tried and returned a competitors top rated hub system and tried a couple of other IOS remotes. My only regret is that I did not find Blumoo to begin with. Also I am equally impressed with supports prompt and polite replies to my stupid questions. Good support is becoming a rarity. Everything has worked well and the available device configuration commands have satisfied my needs so far. I have a couple of requests for future updates that I think would greatly enhance the product. I am sure that more than a few of us are using the Blumoo app on an iPad and some the iPad Pro. In my opinion all that screen real estate and the flexibility of Blumoo makes it possible to configure the ultimate Master Controller for all your equipment on one screen using only the buttons that you need from each device. This eliminates the need to switch controllers and you have everything at your fingertips. I am doing this now but it is a challenge to cram everything in the available space and the lack of the ability to change orientation is very inconvenient. IOS now has the split screen feature that would be outstanding for Blumoo. Another option that would be very handy would be the ability to change button size and type instead of deleting it and making a new button. As with any app it is a work in progress and there is always something to add or improve.

This app wont even open! Keeps kicking me out every single time! So frustrating 10/10 would NOT recommend.

Wow, how disappointing ! I had high hopes. Hopefully this is fixed soon or I am returning my blumoo. :(

The best version so far.

Great app and I cant wait to see where they take it from here. It was easy to setup my remotes for all my home entertainment equipment in my living room. I really liked being able to setup a macro to power all my equipment on and off with one button press. The TV guide feature is particularly cool because I dont have cable and always wanted a good TV guide for my "over the air" channels. I had one question during setup and the support team was quick to give me an answer.

This app works great. There are a few issues I have with it though. While setting up anything, the menus take a little too long to come up (the transitions). Because of this, it takes forever to set up a remote or a macro. Other than that nit-picky stuff, the app does its job very well.

Ive had this for about a week and so far so good. I have not experienced any crashes or any bugs. Set up takes a few minutes depending on how many devices youre setting up. I do love how you can configure/arrange your own remote settings and add macros. There is a 2 to 3 second delay from pressing the button on your phone to the equipment responding.This replaced a harmony 880. I was going to buy another harmony and spend another couple hundred, but decided to try this. For $100 it was definitely worth it.

Dont waste your time on this app

This is the most horrible app ever in my life I ever waste my 10 seconds downloading.this application is a bad waste of time it doesnt even work. And my good advice is please dont waste your time downloading this.

Easy setup. Love this app and device. Works with my Panasonic TV, my direct tv genie, my pioneer rec.

Not very responsive

This is obviously not a native app and it shows. Its very slow and lags and does not look like an iOS app. That being said its usable and it is better than the disaster produced by Logitech. Too bad because the concept is nice. The execution is lacking.

The app crashes while in the guide every single time after the last upgrade. The last upgrade did have a good firmware fix that solved a unresponsive state on the hardware unit that occurred every other day or so. The solution in total is a good one but the app has a long way to go before its easy and reliable. When I can stop reaching for the remote Ill be happy.

It is a trash app. Not works without buying.
